Exploring new apps and websites!

Today the scholars tried two new apps, Answer Garden and Padlet. They did awesome! Many even figured out how to add emojis.

Happy Halloween!

Today scholars used candy pumpkins and toothpicks to build the tallest structure they could. It was challenging as some of the towers had a difficulty staying strong. Other challenges included toothpicks breaking and the jelly pumpkins being sticky. It was a great activity in teamwork and persevering!

Third Grade Fun!

What a busy week in third grade! We made some "Author's Purpose Pie", went on a scavenger hunt to practice sequencing,  used a hula hoop to practice time, and traced our buddies!

Boston Water & Sewer

Ms. Cillo, from Boston Water and Sewer came to our class to teach us about water and how to keep the sewers clean. Scholars learned that fats, oils, and grease should never go down the sink. Also, the only thing that should be flushed is toilet paper. Tissues and flushable wipes do not go down the toilet!

Sentences Scavenger Hunt!

Scholars had to find the four different types of sentences in our reading anthologies. They had to find an example of a declarative, exclamatory, interrogative, and imperative sentence. Great work scholars!

Scholars were introduced to a new math activity called VersaTiles. They used them to practice the Commutative Property of Multiplication. They were able to check themselves after to see if they were correct. The scholars really enjoyed using them and look forward to using them again!
